A few miles from Krakow lies Ojcowski Park Narodowy ( Ojcow National Park ).
The beauty of the park is the limestone rock formations from jurassic time.
Some 100 million years ago between Kraków and Częstochowa
was the Jurrasic sea, sorry, no dinosaurs here ( recently in Poland some skeletons have been found, but not in this area).
The name 'Ojców' that means 'father's place' was given to the small village nearby the king Kazimierz Wielki built the castle for his father.
The water from a creek that flows under the hill is so clean that supplies many local fish farms,
no wonder you can find nice Trout in restaurants and bars there.
There is also the wooden 'church on the water' built above the stream.
Single limestone rocks along the river have sometimes strange names such as 'Stick of Hercules' or 'Piano of Chopin'.
Seven miles from the ruins of Ojców castle on another rock stands another castle[on the photo] this time from 16th century late Rennaissance 'Pieskowa Skała', open for tourists.
