HOSCARS (HOStelworld Customer Annual Ratings) is the award voted by customers of Hostelworld.com, who choose among around 20 000 properties featured on that site.
This year over 800 000 customers worldwide rated hostels on six criteria - location, staff,character, security, fun and cleanliness.

This year among top ten hostels there are two from Krakow, on 5th position Greg-Tom Hostel, and Flamingo Hostel on 9th.


Last year Greg-Tom Hostel won Small Hostels category, this year besides 6th overall position, scored high in 10 Most Boutique Hostels, and in Security category.

The hostel features modern bathrooms with massage showers, free internet and 3 huge plasma TV.
The activities list sound promising:
Monday- Vodka Tasting
Tuesday- Polish Special Dinner
Wednesday- Tour The Pub
Thursday- Vodka Tasting
Friday- Mad Dogs Evening
Saturday-Polish Special Dinner
Sunday- Salad Buffet
but as the hostel accepts groups only up to 6 people, the activities overall are harmless for environment ( no stag).

Last years winner, Flamingo Hostel dropped to the 9th position, but keeps the high standards, and features ree internet, free breakfast, free tea and coffee all day, free linen.
Also the location, few metres from the Main Market Suare in Krakow is unbeatable.
